Benefits

Benefits of earning college credit in high school include:

  • Getting a head start- students can start taking college classes early, which can help them earn their degree faster

  •  Saving money-students can earn college credit for free or at a reduced cost before attending college full time

  • Developing skills- students can develop time management skills and explore different interests

  •  Impressing colleges- students can demonstrate to colleges that they are ready for college-level work. Some colleges give extra weight to college-level courses taken in high school.
